Protect Consumers
and the Profession

CNAREA operates as a self-supporting organization governed by a Board of Directors made up of both elected and appointed members. Our elected board members consist of independent fee appraisers, and annual elections ensure active participation and representation from the membership.

CNAREA is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism by maintaining an active role with The Appraisal Foundation, based in Washington, D.C., and holding a seat on The Appraisal Foundation Advisory Council (TAFAC). CNAREA members are required to adhere to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), as set by the Appraisal Standards Board of the Appraisal Foundation. Through this partnership, CNAREA aligns with the Appraisal Foundation’s mission to uphold public trust in the appraisal profession.
