The Canadian National Association of Real Estate Appraisers (CNAREA) is a national, not-for-profit Corporation in Canada that licenses, educates, and certifies real property appraisers across the country. CNAREA was established 30 years ago, to provide an effective membership-oriented organization of professional real property appraisers. We have active members throughout the country, and our professional designations (DAR™, DAC™, Certified Appraisal Reviewer™) are widely accepted.
The Role
This Full-Time position will report to the CEO and will oversee the CNAREA Compliance program and be the first point of contact for members, stakeholders, and staff, regarding specific appraisal related issues and inquiries.

Details
- Compliance Program: The compliance process is an integral and unique part of CNAREA and as such requires ongoing attention. All members are required to regularly submit reports for review and feedback.
- Member inquiries: You will be the first point of contact for member inquiries on specific appraisal related matters which are to be dealt with in a professional and respectful manner.
- Report Reviews: You will be reviewing reports submitted by members in preparation for writing the DAR final exam, submitted as part of the disciplinary process, submitted by AMC’s and stakeholders, and from the public. You will be expected to provide feedback and, in many cases, determine next steps.
- Internal inquiries: You will assist staff including the education department with questions and assistance on appraisal related matters.
Key attributes, skills, and experience
- Must have the DAR or DAC along with the Certified Appraisal Reviewer designations.
- Must have been appraising for a minimum of 10 years.
- Can work remotely.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently.
